Exercise Physiology is designed to help you move more, feel stronger, and improve overall wellbeing. By targeting coordination, balance, strength, endurance, and mental health, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists create personalised, easy-to-follow plans that support you to stay active and thrive in daily life.

  • While both help improve movement, function, and overall health, their focus and approach differ:

    Physiotherapist (Physio)

  • Specialises in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries, pain, and physical conditions.
  •  Provides hands-on therapy, rehabilitation, and targeted exercises to restore movement and function.
  •  Often treats musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgery recovery, neurological
    conditions, and acute injuries.

    Exercise Physiologist (EP)

  •  Focuses on preventing and managing chronic conditions through structured, based exercise programs.
  •  Designs personalised exercise plans to improve strength, endurance, balance,
    coordination, and mental wellbeing.
  •  Works with people with chronic disease, long-term injury, or those aiming to improve overall health and fitness.

In short: Physios help you recover and restore function after injury or illness, while Exercise Physiologists help you strengthen, prevent, and optimise health through tailored exercise programs.

You can receive our services in our clinics or at your home. We aim to

No referral is needed. We meet you where life happens—at home, school, work, in the community, or in our clinic. Telehealth sessions are also available. Programs can be simple, focusing on walking, balance, strength, and everyday movements using items you already have. We’ll map your routine with our Optimum Roadmap to ensure your program is safe, effective, and achievable.

Exercise Physiology helps you enhance both your physical and mental well-being. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists provide education, guidance, and personalised programs designed to help you reach your health goals safely and effectively.

Yes. We use graded activity, pacing, and functional training to safely build your capacity without triggering flare-ups. Exercise supports overall health, helps manage chronic conditions, and improves day-to-day independence. Programs are progressed gradually and tailored, with regular reviews to keep you safe and on track.

Yes—when tailored and closely monitored, EP is evidencebased for managing chronic conditions, including cardiovascular disease and diabetes. We begin with gentle assessments, prescribe the appropriate “dose,” and progress safely to support independence while maximizing autonomy.

We pause immediately if any issues arise, assess the situation, and modify or stop the activity. Your comfort and safety always come first. If symptoms persist, we contact your GP and follow our emergency procedures. Every session is paced and tailored to your condition—there’s no pressure, only support.

Yes, as a multidisciplinary allied health provider, we can offer exercise physiology as part of an overall health plan. Our exercise physiologists work alongside other specialists to provide comprehensive care.

Do you provide services under NDIS?

Yes, we can. However, we are not registered NDIS providers and cannot work with individuals who are Agency (i.e., NDIA) managed. If you are self-managed, plan- managed, or have a support coordinator managing your plan, then we may be able to help. Simply give us a call or book an intro call online to discuss your needs with us before booking.

How long will it take to feel better?

Change is a very individual process, and many factors can influence recovery. How quickly you notice improvement will depend on your symptoms, how long you’ve had them, the support you have, the goals you want to achieve, your motivation to change, and the skills you already bring to therapy.

It’s normal to experience fluctuations in your progress before seeing overall improvement. The effort you put into your treatment plays a big role in the outcome. For some, change can happen quickly, while for others, it may be a longer journey—but consistent work in therapy makes a meaningful difference.
